2022-2023 Academic-Academic Year: Students who were admitted to our Faculty’s programs through OSYM and have completed registration, and who wish to have courses taken at higher education institutions from which they previously graduated and had their registration canceled recognized, must contact the Department Chair.
For students applying for course equivalency (exemption):
1. The student must submit a written request for course equivalency (exemption) to the Department Chair of the department in which they are enrolled no later than the end of the course registration period announced in the academic calendar for the semester in which they registered at our University.
Attached to this written request must be the
- Curriculum (Theory-Practice-Laboratory-Credit / T-P-L-C),
- Course Contents (course objectives, scope, and weekly syllabus),
- Transcript,
2. Applications not submitted within the specified timeframe (except for students who have suspended their enrollment or are on leave of absence) will not be considered.
3. The Departmental Credit Transfer Committee established by the departments evaluates the submitted applications within 1 (one) week. The evaluated credit transfer forms are finalized by the Faculty Administrative Board in accordance with the recommendation of the Departmental Credit Transfer Committee and are issued to the student upon signature.
4. If a student objects to the approved credit transfer form, the deadline for filing an objection is no later than the end of the third week of the academic year. Objections are reviewed by the Departmental Credit Transfer Committee and resolved by the relevant Faculty Administrative Board during the fifth week of the academic year.
5. For a course to be considered equivalent, no more than 7 (seven) years may have elapsed since the date the student graduated from or was dismissed from the higher education institution where the course was taken.
For students who enrolled in the 2022–2023 academic year through Dual Major, Intra-Institutional Horizontal Transfer, Inter-Institutional Horizontal Transfer (Domestic and International), and Central Horizontal Transfer, have already submitted the necessary documents for credit transfer during registration; therefore, they do not need to take any further action regarding the credit transfer process.
